Thanks for taking the time to visit my site.
I originally created this blog in 2013 as a training log while preparing for endurance events and ultramarathons. Writing about each run helped me reflect, learn, and stay accountable.
Over time, life changed completely.
What began as a running blog gradually became something much more personal — a place to document grief, recovery, rebuilding, fatherhood, health, movement, and the ongoing process of finding my way back to life.
Some parts of this site look backwards:
old race reports,
ultramarathons,
training logs,
adventures,
and lessons learned along the way.
Other parts are about where I am now:
rebuilding health,
returning to fitness,
learning to live with grief,
swimming,
strength,
sleep,
technology and self-tracking,
and trying to reconnect with life again one step at a time.
I don’t write because I think I have answers.
I write because documenting the journey helps me understand it.
This site was originally created for myself, and I never expected many people would read it. But if you do happen to find your way here, welcome — and thank you for taking the time.
